About The Endicott Fire Department

In the Village of Endicott, a vibrant community in southern New York, the local fire department received a fully customized pumper built by Toyne, Inc., in Breda, Iowa. This is Endicott Fire Department's first apparatus from Toyne and takes up the mantle of Engine 25-11 that has been in service since 1988. With the addition of the new apparatus, the department can bolster its firefighting and emergency response capabilities

  • Toyne mounted the body onto a a four-door Freightliner SD114 chassis
  • Under the hood is a 450-horsepower Detroit DD13 engine and an Allison 4,000 EVS transmission were selected for the powertrain
  • This apparatus is ready to respond with its 800-gallon UPF tank, 1,500 gallon-per-minute Hale Qmax pump, and Foam Pro 1600 Class-A foam system
  • Designs called for a wide range of different equipment storage options, including painted stainless steel swing-out doors, hydraulic ladder rack, upper body coffin compartments, and space for up to 12 SCBA bottles in the wheel wells
