Toyne Names Meridian Fire New West Coast Dealer

Breda, Iowa - Toyne, Inc. recently announced the addition of Meridian Fire Apparatus and Fabrication, Washington's only full service fire apparatus center, as a dealer for the Oregon, Washington and Alaskan markets. This new relationship will help cement the company's reputation for quality products in a key market and further establishes Toyne as one of the country's fastest growing emergency vehicle manufacturers.
Established in 1969 and based in Puyallup, WA, Meridian Fire Apparatus and Fabrication covers all aspects of fire apparatus sales and service, ranging from routine service and warranty repair to major collision work. Meridian is Washington's only full service repair center, operating out of a modern, 35,000 square foot, full warranty PPG paint performance facility. They also offer a host of other services including graphics, tarp and hose bed cover manufacturing, hose testing, pump testing and parts.
The full service fire apparatus center employs multiple certified technicians who have extensive training and experience in the fire industry. General Manager Jim Morris is ASE and EVT certified with a 12 years background in service/shop management and 18 years of mechanical experience with specialties in suspension, air brakes, hydraulics, fabrication, collision repair and diesel. Lonny Shaw is ASE and EVT certified with 30 years of mechanical experience and specialities in computer diagnostics, engine repair and rebuild, transmission repair and rebuild, brakes and suspension. Meridian also employs two other ASE and EVT technicians, John Suther and Devin Mathews, who bring an additional 30 years of combined mechanical experience to the group.
