08.12.16
BREDA, Iowa - Another Toyne Tailored Apparatus has made its way west. Bonneville County Fire District 1, which helps protect residents of Idaho Falls, ID, recently accepted delivery of a brand new Toyne Pumper.
To fight fires, the bolted painted stainless steel pumper is equipped with a Waterous CSUC20 1250 gallon pump, a UPF 1000 gallon tank, and a Hale 2.1 Class A foam system. Built on an International 4400 four door cab and chassis, Bonneville’s apparatus is driven by an IHC Maxforce 9 330 HP engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission. Rounding out their new Toyne Pumper, Bonneville added Fire Research telescoping lights to increase scene visibility.
The BCFD signed a contract with the City of Idaho Falls in 1991, and has served the community of over 58,000 residents ever since. In 2015, Bonneville responded to over 4,000 engine response calls and nearly 8,700 ambulance calls.
Bonneville County Fire District 1’s apparatus was sold by Toyne Western Regional Sales Manager Larry Bezemer.
