Foscoe, NC, Receives Eighth Toyne Tailored Apparatus
BREDA, Iowa, (August 2017) – Established in 1971, the Foscoe Volunteer Fire Department is located in Watauga County, North Carolina, and responds to approximately 300 calls per year. The department recently accepted delivery of a new pumper - their eighth Toyne fire apparatus.
Foscoe’s pumper was built on a Freightliner M2 106 2 door 4x4 cab and chassis and is powered by a Cummins ISL 350 hp engine and Allison 3000 EVS transmission. Their latest Toyne is equipped with a Hale Q-max 1250 gpm pump and a UPF 500 gallon tank. Fire Research telescoping lights and a Hale 2.1 Class A foam system round out this apparatus’ firefighting abilities.
