Riverton Iowa Accepts Delivery of Toyne Pumper

Breda, Iowa - The Riverton, Iowa Volunteer Fire Department has accepted delivery of a new Toyne Pumper built on a Freightliner M2 cab and chassis. The apparatus is powered by a Cummins ISL 350 hp engine and an Allison 3000EVS transmission. To fight fire, the pumper has a Hale QFlo 1,250 gpm pump with a UPF 1,250 gallon tank and a FoamPro 1600 foam system. Other equipment include Fire Research Corp. telescoping lights, a 1,500 gallon portable tank on a hydraulic rack, Innovative Controls tank level gauges, and an Akron Apollo monitor.
