Beatrice Rural Fire District Strengthens Fleet with New Toyne Pumper Tanker/Tender
Beatrice, NE (March 1, 2025) – The Beatrice Rural Fire District has taken delivery of a new Toyne Pumper Tanker/Tender, bolstering its ability to protect lives and property across 200 square miles of rural Nebraska.
The Beatrice Rural Fire District (BRFD) provides fire suppression and rescue services to an estimated 13,000 residents of Beatrice, NE as well as 12,000 residents within the District. The department also supports mutual aid agreements across a 1,200-square-mile region spanning Gage, Jefferson, and portions of Saline Counties.
Built for BRFD’s specific needs, the new Toyne Pumper Tanker/Tender is mounted on a Kenworth T480V 2-door chassis with a Toyne bolted, painted stainless steel body. Under the hood, a Paccar PX9-450 HP engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission deliver the power and reliability required in emergencies.
